Tibetan Lama Pai is your initial introduction to Chinese martial arts and after you receive your Black Belt you may want to try our Choy Leih Faht style. Lama Pai Lama Pai, which is based on the movements of the Ape and Crane, is an anti-grappling style that seeks to evade and strike an opponent from long range. We teach a wide variety of weapons and two person sets. A fun, fulfilling workout for adults. Our adult students really appreciate our modern approach to martial arts training. Chinese Martial Arts known as Kung Fu is an exercise program with a bonus! You learn to defend yourself while getting in shape. The emphasis on mind-body training goes far beyond the benefits of standard exercise programs. Our Kung Fu classes helps to blend your own personal strengths with the tried and true centuries old techniques. These workouts are totally different from any other workout you've ever experienced. You'll be amazed at how great you'll feel and how your friends and family will notice the new you. Most people tell us they feel a major difference from the first class. The added bonus is that you are learning a martial art that has been around for several hundred years. The great thing about group classes both for children and adults is the variety of partners each member has to work with. When doing partner drills it's important to be able to do them with different partners since each person brings with them different weaknesses and strengths. |

Although we base our Martial arts techniques on centuries old knowledge, it is our application of that knowledge that sets the staff and students at M.A.X. Fitness apart from the rest. A psychological study found that children in martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks, and a higher sense of self-esteem. Our Kung Fu program teaches children discipline, how to channel their aggression, essential self defense skills and so much more. Our instructors understand that each student's individual progress should be the main focus of their attention. That's why our instructors continue to be students themselves. They take classes, attend seminars and continually work to improve their abilities. We all know that when you look good, you feel good. Imagine adding, "And I know I can take care of myself," to the equation. There is no better feeling than knowing you're in shape and can defend yourself if you ever have to. We offer personal training session to members and non-members alike. During your personal training sessions the instructor will help you understand the moves and make sure you can perform each move to the best of your ability. Our goal is to empower you with each new technique so that you may achieve your personal goals. Each personal session is tailored to your specific needs and wants. We do offer weapon training during personal training sessions as well, just see your instructor for more details.
